From July 11 to July 21, the 60th International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) was held in the small university town of Bath. First, about the results of Ukrainians and not only them, which everyone can find on the official website of the IMO: https://www.imo-official.org/ You can also find other statistics there, if you want to get acquainted with it.
I'm sorry for the delay in responding, but I still don't have a final decision, or rather , we don't have one. There are a lot of requests from the parents of those children who are late with the registration of their child in our summer school. They are wherever you can think of – in comments, mail, viber, telegram…, only WhatsApp is still holding…
Of course, it would be right to refuse everyone, because now there are more than 10 such children. Our parallels are already very saturated – 17-20 children in each group. Adding new children can significantly impair the conduct of classes and the perception of material by students whose parents (or teachers) have done everything in a timely manner and bring a line. Probably, we will do it, but it is very, very difficult to refuse children who aspire to us…
We are now heading to the 60th International Mathematical Olympiad and there we will make a final decision on which decision to make. We return on July 22. I've already said which one I'm leaning towards personally, but I can't solve it myself.
Sorry again for such a delay, as well as for being silent in communicating with you all. By July 22, if possible, share your thoughts on how best to do it. These tips may help us make a final decision. This is especially true for parents and teachers enrolled in our summer school.

On the settlements of the Olympiad participants and their leaders
We have a difficult situation with the settlement. Hostel No. 19, which last year accepted all those who lacked space in the IPO, is no longer the same as it was last year. It is now fully populated by postgraduate students. Therefore, we will have an alternative settlement of the participants of the Olympiad in the UFML. I emphasize that only settlement. Food will be the same as last year in the IPO. Tours will be written at the Faculty of Computer Science and Cybernetics.
Preparation for EGMO–2019
Ukraine participates in the European Mathematical Olympiads for girls from the first such Olympiad, which took place in the English city of Cambridge in 2012. Yulia Kravchenko, Maria Pavliuk, Yaroslava Serdyuk and Olena Khaitonova were part of the team. All girls won silver medals, and the team in the overall standings took the high 3rd place.
From April 7 to April 13, 2019, an extremely bright and interesting educational event — VIII European Mathematical Olympiad among girls takes place in Kyiv. We have already announced this event many times on our website and now it has finally begun. Sorry to write about this late, but all the management of this site are involved in the organization EGMO-2019 around the clock.
