From March 25 to March 29, the team of students of Ukraine took part in the Belarusian Republican Olympiad in mathematics for the third time. The participants of our team competed in parallels of 9th and 10th grades on a par with the best students of seven regions of Belarus.
The heads and accompanying team were Irina Zorina, a lecturer at Kherson State Maritime Academy, Anastasia Kucherenko and Kodyrov Zarina, a student of the Kyiv National University. etc. Shevchenko.
Our team members showed great results!
In the tenth grade, our students won the first two places, one second and the commendable diploma given to those who found themselves one step ahead of the prize. Indeed, unlike all-Ukrainian competitions, not half of the participants are awarded, but 45%. The first places were taken by Lviv citizen Solyduk Gleb and Dmytro Rudenko from Kyiv. The second place was won by Lazurenko Ilya from Kharkiv and was awarded by Mikhail Noskov from Kramatorsk with a commendable letter.
Nine-year-old Shevchenko Ivan from Kiev took the first place, and his colleague from Kharkov Ularazovsky Artem received a diploma of the second degree!
For excellent results, our students received souvenir prizes as a gift from the organizers and collections of tasks of the Belarusian Olympiads from the main jury member of Voronovich Igor Ivanovich. It is worth noting that this is a really valuable gift, because the conditions of the Belarusian competitions are almost impossible to find on the Internet.
So that others have the opportunity to get acquainted with the conditions of the Olympiad, we present the tasks and solutions of the Olympiad for both days:
(diplomas and tasks will be added later)
In addition to a tense solution and discussion of tasks, the team did not miss the opportunity to communicate with other participants and get acquainted with Belarus in general.
This year the competition was held in the city of Baranovichi, Brest region.
On the first day we were met with the opening ceremony in the Palace of Children's Creativity.
The next day, we were introduced to the local cotton factory. Participants had the opportunity to follow the process of tissue production from the initial stage to the final product. And also make sure how important it is to carefully teach mathematics, despite all the difficulties.
After the second round, part of the cultural program was a performance of Chekhov's work "Akh, Love-Love". The actors were talented students above the mentioned Palace of Children's Creativity.
On the day of reviewing the works, a walk around the city was also organized for students, and after the closing of the Olympiad, we even managed to visit the capital of Belarus – Minsk. We would like to sincerely thank Iryna Burak for an interesting excursion not only to the traditional places of the capital, such as the Art Gallery and Lenin Square, but also to interesting hidden corners such as the street of murals on Zhovtneva Street.
We really want to thank the organizers and the jury, especially Mykhailo Karpuku, for the hospitality and high-quality organization of the Olympiad! And also grateful to LUN for wonderful gifts!
