From February 22 to February 27 in the city. Bucharest (Romania) hosted the 9th International Mathematical Olympiad "Romanian Masters of Mathematics 2017". The Ukraine national team has already participated in this prestigious competition for the first time. This year's competitions were attended by more than a hundred participants, including 9 representing our country:
Oleg Rudenko, Nikita Vepryk, Roman Sarapin, Fam Viet, Sean Nho (Kharkiv Physics and Mathematics Lyceum No. 27), Olga Shevchenko (Academic Gamnasiya No. 45 m. Kharkiv), Arseniy Nikolaev (Kyiv Natural Science Lyceum No. 145), Vsevolod Reshetnikov (Kyiv-Pechersk Lyceum No. 171 "Leader"), Anton Trigub (Gymnasium "Academy", m. Kyiv).
The team leaders were Andriy Ankushin and Nastya Lysakevych. The national team arrived in Bucharest by plane on the evening of February 22. All schoolchildren – participants of the competition lived in a student dormitory of the Academy of Economics, almost in the center of the Romanian capital. On the first day of the Olympiad, participants rested and had the opportunity to listen to a lecture at the University of Bucharest, and the team leaders got acquainted with the conditions, adopted the text of future competitions and translated them into Ukrainian.
