About helping the mathematical movement

During our last meeting with parents, when we were awarding the winners of the Olympiad among 4-6 grades, we wished to help our Olympiads in a certain way (mainly in small monetary contributions), in particular, to find funds to award the winners. Last year, the award money was allocated by Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Athena Charitable Foundation, the funds of which are accumulated through donations and charitable contributions of caring firms and individual citizens.

This year, the parent committee worked for the first award, but all parents recognized the inefficiency of such work for many reasons. The most important thing is that a lot of you are ready to share small amounts, but they want to be able to do it in a convenient form. Do not search for someone for a certain time, but simply be able to transfer a certain amount to the account. So we decided to provide on the site the details of the Privatbank card, where you can transfer your contributions. If you just want to help, or your company is ready to help our young talents, then for this you can make a cashless transfer to the account of the Charitable Foundation "Athena". If your help is dedicated to some event, for example, awarding the Olympiad 4-6 classes, then simply transfer any amount to the account of the Privatbank card, and we will take funds from there to purchase prizes.

The composition of the participants of the training meeting

Dear participants of the training meeting. Most of the participants are students of the 9th grade, who this June pass exams / certification. We became aware that, for example, in the Lyceum "Leader" with the term of the meeting (June 7-20) the following exams intersect: June 10 – geography, June 13 – mathematics, June 16 – biology. If these dates are common to all 9th grade students, then we will simply make these days a planned weekend, or on this day all the work will be carried out in the afternoon. If there are other exams in different educational institutions (possibly in other areas), then let us know so that we can coordinate the group's work in a convenient way. Please do not hesitate to answer.

Format of the summer meeting in 2014 on the eve of the IMO-2014

Summer meetings are planned on the basis of the UFML and the Faculty of Cybernetics of Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. They will begin on Saturday, June 7. It is planned to form two groups. The first is the IMO teams together with 10-year-olds who showed high results this year (Alyokhina Anastasia, Yakovlev Ivan, Kucherenko Anastasia and Vo Din Thanh Fong if they volunteer to participate). That is, this group will include together up to 10 members. The second group is, as always, students of grades 9-10, as the closest reserve of the team and contenders for a place in the team of the following years. Now separately about each group.

IMO Group. Their participation is free of charge, from June 7 to June 14, lectures with the invited lecturer are planned. Then a break is possible until June 18. Further work will be associated with the disassembly of the setators, as well as possible work in different groups. The final work plan will be clarified in the process. Classes in the group will begin at 9.30. Participants will work with a lunch break as much as they have enough strength for effective work.

Group of the nearest reserve. The cost of classes will be as in recent years 50 hryvnia per day. Lunch fees will also be charged. If participants from other places who expect to live and eat in the UFML plan to join this group, then they will have to pay for it. The group will also be open starting at 9.30 with a lunch break. Classes will be held by our participants of international olympiads of previous years. Classes will be held from June 7 to June 20-24. The schedule of classes will be agreed soon.

Please respond to everyone who wants to join this meeting so that we can agree on our plans. It is desirable that this group has 15 to 20 members for productive and effective work. In order to apply for participation in the meeting, you must either write on the site, or write to me in person by mail or phone, or in any other way.

Express all wishes and comments in any convenient way so that we can take them into account when holding and preparing meetings.
