In the second semester for students of 4-6 grades, we will hold two Olympiads: the City Olympiad and the Olympiad of Taras Shevchenko University of Kyiv, around the beginning of February and at the end of March. Therefore, right now we have no desire to conduct a completely similar competition. Let's try to diversify the cycle of competition with a mathematical carousel. This is an interesting dynamic competition that enjoys success in all parallels, so we hope that it will also appeal to students of 4-6 grades. At least we will have experience of it or not.
The most important drawback for young mathematicians is that this is a team competition. And we see such a way out here. We ask all teachers from leading mathematical educational institutions who want to delegate their students to the carousel to report it. In each of these three parallels, the carousel will be held if we recruit at least 5 teams. The date of the carousel is December 1, 2013. We will inform you later when we feel that the idea turned out to be right and approved by young mathematicians, their parents and teachers.
As for individual students who study in classes where there is no desire or opportunity to put up a whole competitive team, we will do so. You must report your desire by notifying the organizers either here in the comments, or by phone or email. You must inform the full name, class and phone to contact you if something changes us so that we have time to notify you in a timely manner. We will artificially combine all such participants into teams of 5-7 students for your full participation in the competition. Adults who will facilitate such registration are kindly asked to help children familiarize themselves with the rules of the carousel.
